I promised you guys that we would start sooner, and I am deeply sorry about this... We will do better next time to make sure that things start on scheduled time.
But anyway... Let's get started!!
I want in!! What do I do?
Your job is to make a square, 500 x 500 image.
The image can be drawn traditionally, digitally, it can be photography, or even literature. Just make sure that the text FITS within a 500 x 500 canvas.
The canvas can be larger, but the aspect ratio must be the same. For instance, if you want to make a 1000 x 1000 image, you can, but be sure to scale it down to 500 x 500 when you are finished.
Also, your artistic skill does not matter. We accept ALL creations of art. Just be sure to put some effort into it.
What is the theme?
The theme must somehow relate to DeviantART. You could draw the DeviantART logo, Fella, or anything else related to DeviantART. Be creative!! There are NO color restrictions. I won't be assigning any of you a color. All you need to do is submit the image in ANY color format you like.
If you want to make a photograph, it's kind of hard to make it related to DeviantART, so for photographers, the theme can be whatever you want.
Okay, it's finished! How do I submit it?
All you have to do is submit it as a deviation. Then, you must link the deviation to THIS blog entry.
That's all you have to do... and I will take care of the rest . There's no set time as to when the finished collab will be completed. Just know that it WILL be completed whether we have 1,000 pieces of art or 10.
The final image will also relate to DeviantART. It will more than likely depict a logo of deviantART on a black background, and it will be colored with all colors of the rainbow. That is the goal.
Again, I am very sorry for the late start... We promise that it will not happen again.
If you have ANY questions or you're still confused about something, please comment below and I will get back to you. Then, I will revise this blog entry to make it more clear.
That's about it when it comes to our first project. I wish you all the best of luck. So, go out there, make art, and have fun with it!
